Hi, I have to take out my huge kenya tree to pick off all of the vermitoid snails off the live rock then put it back in the tank. My question is how long can the kenya tree be out of the water as I am doing this being that it is so huge? It’s 7 inches tall and the branches 7-8 stretched out. I know it will close up upon leaving the tank but I don’t want to harm it. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance!

@Saltwater2370 just my opinion but Kenya Tree is really hardy so I’m sure it can spend time out of water. That said I would make sure it stays wet during the cleaning process.

Have you considered just picking up the rock and holding it near or below the surface of the water? Maybe you can keep the coral in the water for most of the work

another option is put it in a try with tank water so it lays sideways and is mostly wet. Then as you rotate the rock to clean it rotate the Kenya as well.

They are pretty tough to be sure.
