Hello reefers, I am looking for some help regarding a potential 90g tank. The dimensions are 48''x18''x24''. I know I would like to have a foxface and a pair of clowns, but other than that I'm not sure what else to add. I also would like the fish to be reef friendly. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :)

2 clowns
Firefish
2 Bangaii Cardinals
Diamond Goby
Yellow Coris wrasse
Longnose hawkfish
Midas blenny
Bristletooth tang
One spot foxface

This is my planned stocking list for my 70 after some help from the forum so should all work well for your 90. Lots of really nice fish with lots if personality.

Other suggestions would be a naoko wrasse, shrimp Goby pistol pair and you could probably try a slightly larger tang than the bristletooth. Maybe. *tang police*.

This is a bad move IMHO, I have a Ctenochaetus in a 4’x2’x18” and he uses it all. I couldn’t even imagine a larger tang in this size tank IMO.

In my tank I have:
- Magnificent foxface
- Copperband Butterflyfish
- Twinspot Bristletooth Tang
- Spotbreast Angelfish
- Black Photon Clownfish
- Cebu Lubbock’s Fairy Wrasse
- Indonesian Lubbock’s Fairy Wrasse
- Black Margin Fairy Wrasse
- Jade Wrasse
- Radiant Wrasse

It’s also possibly going to eventually have:
- Flashing Tilefish
- Naoko Fairy Wrasse
- Blue Star Leopard Wrasse

That’s an interesting lineup - Do you know what the gobies are? If not I can probably help with IDs.
Ok, just a suggestion don't have much experience just thought that 90 gallons was close enough to the recommended 100 gallons for one of the tangs.
No worries - I think for a short time it could work but long term I wouldn’t risk it personally. I know someone who has 2 larger tangs in the same tank size as what I have though.

Yeah, here’s the line up I’d personally do (I love my gobies and Wrasses if you can’t tell).
- several Gobiidae spp. (Avoid valenciennea, and Cryptocentrus, if you need help with where they tend to hang out there’s a thread about hobo idea somewhere that I started)
- Radiant Wrasse
- Yellow Canary Wrasse
- China Tamarin Wrasse
- Blue Star Leopard Wrasse
- Lubbock’s Fairy Wrasse
- Rose Scale Fairy Wrasse (Fifienmaa)
- Yellow Long Nose Butterflyfish (Longirostris)
- Twin Spot Bristletooth Tang or White Tailed Bristletooth Tang
- Magnificent Foxface
- Genicanthus angelfish spp.

I would also add a blenny you like to add some personality and two bangaii Cardinals.

I actually dont have any personality in my blenny, I see more personality in my 4 gobies, and my 8 wrasse that I own. This is split over two tanks. Even my twin spot bristletooth has more personality than my blenny!
