Can some one tell me why my torch coral look like this??? I’m very new to keeping corals and I don’t know what to do! Only thing that changed today was the weather, it got cold today but my heater working just fine. IMG_5693.jpeg

How long was it very happy?
Contraction can be triggered by a quick change in light intensity, being touched, bitten or swiped by someone,or a quick change in water chemistry?

Those are the most likely reasons.

The question is it temporary or long term, many times they just pop back for reasons unknown.

Did you see all the crap covering the coral? It's not just contracted

I wanna say about 4 weeks even last night it was fine, but I woke up today and saw that. Like I said the only thing that changed was weather it was first cold day today. But my heater is always on. The temp seemed lower than usually. It was 78, I usually keep it at 80. I used a turkey baster to get rid of the slimy things on it. Now it looks like this

Do this : take the frag out of the tank and smell it. If it smells like death (believe me, you'll know), it's a goner and unfortunately you'll need to trash it.

I can attest to this. my nostrils melted almost at the disgusting smell. However this one is a goner without even smelling.

I can’t see much but blue. Cant see any video.
Poster says overnight, so I’m curious how many days/weeks was it not that way. That makes a huge difference IMM.
Many overnight issues are the result of it being tasted.

Thanks for everyone’s help, unfortunately I wasn’t able to save the torch and also lost a gonipora, which was close to it.
