Hey everyone, I hope everyone is having a great day!

I got this coral a few weeks ago and the local fella I got it from said its some sort of mushroom, can anybody help to ID this coral?

Looks to be a Hairy Mushroom :)
Looks like no mushroom I've ever had in the past.

It's a single and haven't seen it spread to make more mushrooms. I thought after some time viewing it that it was a sort of Anemone, but yeah that's why I need some help or info about this coral.

See how the fingers, Sorry... not sure of the technical name is.

The fingers branch out and never seen that before, but its been 16 yrs since I've been in the hobby and so much new corals out there now.

Definitely a hairy mushroom - These guys are strange in which they really look so unusual. You probably haven’t seen one recently as they’re an ‘old’ coral we used to keep I believe it was popular in tanks from the 1990’s to early 2010’s then just vanished from the market.
