I have had my tank set up for 5 months, and got my first pair of clowns 2 months ago. Other than a cleaner shrimp they are the only fish i have in there. Throughout the time i have had them i performed weekly water changes and water tests to keep water perimeters stable. They have also behaved the past 2 months exactly how they are supposed to and within the last 48 hours my smaller male was taken out. From what I’ve read, the symptoms seem to be Brookynella disease or clownfish disease. His symptoms were laying upright but not moving on my sandbed, white patchy film, labored gilling and no appetite. I am worried about the female who is still alive and i gave her a 5 minute freshwater bath. I understand it is not a curing solution but what can I do to prevent my female from following the same fate?

I will also add, as of my water test today there are nitrates present but no Amonia or nitrite
