I got one black storm and one regular ocellaris so I could have a cow and a Nemo. I recommend sticking to the ocellaris types and they are not as mean as the maroon/tomato types. Cultivated Reef (https://cultivatedreef.com/product-category/fish/clowns/) has lot of pictures of all the ones that you can get.
Thanks for the link!!! Tons of clowns haha!

Shame I do like some of the maroon variants lighting and gold lighting are nice

The percs are going to be better suited for a tank of that size. I have seen wild Marroons get up to 7" long. I haven't seen a supersized captive bred Marroon yet, but between their aggression and size potential I wouldn't pick them for a tank that size.

20 L is not 15 gallon, it is about 5 gallons which is too small for pair of clownfish. 15 gallon is ok but 20 gallons is even better in keeping the pair long term.

Which designer clownfish is kind of personal choice. But at least for me there are several no go strains which represent deformities that will cause fish suffering and problems : short bodies,
deformities of jaw and head bones - unfortunately very big share of the designer clowns have this problem caused by inbreeding; long fins.

I went with a snowflake and Picasso clown, I think it's fun to have a fancy clown and a relatively "normal" looking one. Speaking from personal experience, the clown with the most orange has always been the one to turn female lol

Sorry, 20 L is Merican for 20 gallon long haha

I have one 20 gallon long tank and one 15 gallon tank available.

I agree with mixing it up and having two different color variants of Ocellaris. I have a longfin Black Ice Clown from Cultivated Reef and one Black Snowflake.

I really want to like the long fin clowns, but they are the only ones I can't get behind. they look like saltwater betta fish to me.

Also lighting maroons are hands down the coolest designer clowns, but I have been scared off from them :(

I got some bali aquarich picasso since I didn't like how deformed some of the designer clowns can look. (bull dog look)
Yes i also prefer natural looking ones in terms of body shape and function with not that exterme color aberrations like Fancy ocellaris, DaVinci and Darwin

Well I really liked the black storms and the long fin. . . but were $99 a piece at my LFS ($250 for a "pair". . . not sure how that works. . .)

So, despite their bulldog faces, I picked up these guys from Petco, came out to $96 for both. Think they are both Platinum perculas, one was labeled that, the other was "assort"
