Im aware that a sump is setup to personal preference. But as im looking to move my tank from my family room to my office to make room for another tank in the family room. Im wondering if i shouldn't upgrade the sump on my current take. My DT is 79 gallons and current sump is 31 gallons. What i need help with is coming up with what is most functional and tell me if im thinking that a 45 gallon sump is to big?

Im looking at having a custom sump built. something like the attached picture. Would i need a larger skimmer? I have a redsea reefer 300 would i need a reactor (if so what for and what kind of media/pump). I dont want a ATO in my sump cause I have a 10 gallon DIY setup already. I know i want to put a fuge in there some where (best place?)

Thanks in advance.

Controller is a separate graphic
So in all reality I was looking for more specific help. Not a dream shopping list lol.

Like what size of sump is a good size given my tank size?
Do I need a reactor? If So which one?
I want a fuge, how large of space does this need to be?

thanks for your help

Sorry these are vague answers but we need to know more to try and assist.
The larger the sump the better.
Reactors - it depends on what you are going to keep.
Fuge can be as small or as large as you want.

P.S. That is my shopping list for the sump I have on order:)

The sump is 72x24x24 and going in the basement with the tank on the first floor above. I will purchase everything listed except the UV initially. Waiting for sales so far, I have gotten equipment on sale at up to 30% off. The tank and sump should be ready end of October to early November.
My wife said ... what about when we go on vacation.... thus the entire automation component:)
