I have an innovative marine 100 INT mixed reef . I’ve lost a few fish along the way from jumping out despite lids and I’m getting ready to start up the QT again.

Current list:
Pink streak wrasse
Magnificent Foxface
Whitetail bristletooth tang
2 Dispar anthias
Sunburst anthias
Purple firefish
Gladiator clownfish

For sure planning to add:
Yellow Coris Wrasse

I love the smaller fish that are out open swimming. I’ve considered chromis, but it seems they are hard to stay as a group. Considered more Anthias, or even a blotchy (heard these were mixed as far as getting along with the sunburst)

I do have a bunch of fan worms, coco worms, and a clam, so that also limits some options.

Open to suggestions, thanks!

Considering some Evansi Anthias.

Any ideas how many more fish of this “size “ I could add to the tank?

I'd consider:

- Another clown
- Diamond Goby (if you have sand) - maybe my most fun to watch fish
- Midas Blenny - This guy thinks he is an anthias
- More Disbar Anthias, especially if none of your current group have gone male yet.
- Pistol Shrimp & Goby pair - not free swimming but fun

I personally don't like Chromis either.... to me they are just a very inferior version of anthias

I appreciate the insights and thoughts.

Now that I’ve had a lot more time to think about it, this is what I’m considering:
Yellow Coris wrasse — for sure happening.
Dispar anthias
Evansi anthias (most likely what I’m leaning towards trying)
1 chromis ( for the color, but lowest on my list/first to drop)
A ton of neon gobies
Exquisite fairy wrasse
Blotchy Anthias (if I can confirm it will get along with the others, particularly the sunburst).

Obviously I can’t do all of this, but any idea how many I can add above what I have currently?

I’m thinking 3 Evansi (if those don’t work out, dispars), 2 neon gobies, and yellow wrasse. Blotchy Anthias if that doesn’t push it over the limit? Is this too much?

Probably won’t have room for a chromis, fairy wrasse, or more dispars?

I think you'll be fine with that amount. You may be able to do more, but I would just slowly add them and see how the tank & fish respond.
