Curious what the best way to handle this might be, rock's been in the tank for a month now.

Can't get any pics of the mantis shrimp, but I'm pretty positive I have 2, one green, one black. They both seem to like the same piece of live rock.

I also have a few of these on different pieces of rock, and I'm starting to believe its aptasia.

I finally got a pic of the green shrimp, at least best I could, they are shy when you approach the tank.

Looks like some aptasia anemones, and a mantis shrimp.
I would us f-aptasia or aptasia-x and get all the aptasia you can find and keep it up any time you see one pop up.
If you can get the Rock that the mantis shrimp lives in out and do a high salinity dip on the whole rock he should come out then you can take him to your local fish store

Do the inverted bottle trap for the mantis shrimp. Might take a week or more.

Seems like the kiddies these days freak out over aptasia. Just kalk paste them, vinegar inject them, shoot even use that expensive shock wand if ya want.

Good job buying live rock, you will have a more successful tank in the long run!

I had a mantis in the rock I got from TB live rock. However, I did not put the rock directly in the DT but kept it in an 18 gallon Brute pail for 10 days.

I saw him go into a rock, so I pulled the rock out and squirted fresh water into the hole he went into until he popped out into a bowl.

If they are in a specific rock and you can get the rock out of your tank, you can do similar.
