Goni!
Hmm it was sold to me as a encrusting montipora .Goni!
I'm not sure at all but it resembles every goni I've ever seen?!Hmm it was sold to me as a encrusting montipora .
How sure are you it's a goni?
This is what I found on the internet! I had a frag of it but they don't live well in my tankHmm it was sold to me as a encrusting montipora .

Yes I think you could be correct, some type of flowerpot coral !This is what I found on the internet! I had a frag of it but they don't live well in my tank
It most probably is a montipora then . Just the polyp looks bigger than all the pictures I've seen . It was sold as a Monti so it's highly likely is .If it’s lps it’s alveopora, 12 points per polyp
But very possible it’s montipora also
Yes that was what it was listed as . You are probably correct thank you .I’m changing my Id to montipora
My rainbow monti has polyps like this also.
It’s hard to tell the size from the original pic
Are these polyps very small?
Might actually be this . Looks very similar. I can't actually tell the difference tbh .
I picked it up out of the tank and it’s mad so it’s not extending as much as it typically does but the picture the OP showed looks like this astreopora to me.
Between this and the montipora digitata.Might actually be this . Looks very similar. I can't actually tell the difference tbh .
The size of the polyps is different. The monti has teeny tiny polyps. Less than 1 mm. The astreopora polyps are about 2 mm in diameter.Between this and the montipora digitata.
Well the polyps are deffo bigger than 1mm . Probably an astreopora then . ThanksThe size of the polyps is different. The monti has teeny tiny polyps. Less than 1 mm. The astreopora polyps are about 2 mm in diameter.
