So I came home and saw that my acans that have been flourishing are now sort of odd and shriveled looking. Almost appears to be brown in coloring. Any idea what this could be? They are frags btw they have 3 or 4 polyps each

What are your water parameters? Ammonia, nitrates, phosphates, salinity?
Nitrates is 0-5mg/L if not 0, phosphates are .25mg/L, ammonia is between 0 and .25mg/L (which is new, but would it cause that? I’ve had ammonia/nitrite spikes with them in the tanks it didn’t happen) and nitrite is 0. Salinity is 1.0265 ph is 8.2

Need to bump up nitrates and lower phosphates for starters. Ammonia “could” be an issue too. What the other parameter readings, like Alk and magnesium etc?
How would I do that? I have Seachem Prime, Seachem phytoplankton, doctor time waste management, Seachem stability, Ammo lock from API.. magnesium is 1230, alk is 160, carb is 50

I agree bump up magnesium. stop using ammo lock. Any other corals? How’re they looking ? Is it a fairly new tank? That could explain the ammonia.

I actually haven’t used the ammo lock and the tank is about 8 weeks old I’m the ugly phases I’d say, little bit of a brown algae outbreak, nitrites zero and ammonia has been zero for the longest, I have zoas, a torch, A hammer, birdsnest and gsp that actually all look fine that’s why it threw me off a bit. The acans are actually looking sort of normal now
