Hello all,

I am 2 months in with a 120 gallon tall tank. Things going fairly well so far, looking forward to learning LOTS in this group.

Currently have 3 clownfish and a nem that came with them, 3 damsels and 5 hermit crabs. Just ordered RO/DI and lighting so ready to get started with corals in a few weeks. I've done freshwater for about 10 years, love learning new things with saltwater.

Someone wise once taught me that we are taking care of water not corals. If the water is always perfect then everything that lives in it will thrive.

Best advise:
Buy really good test kits and watch lots of YouTube videos on how to use them correctly.

Good luck!

Hi Stacy. I'm Lisa. Welcome! Glad you joined. MACNA is holding their next event in PA, so I'm planning on being there next summer!

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)

This might help you find people local to you in PA:

This is a good reference book type online article I still review:
