Hi everyone,
I looked through old threads on this and got conflicting messages so I decided to ask the question again. I have a tank with a sump. Does the temp probe need to go in the chamber where tank water enters and the heater in a chamber downstream from it or the other away around, or in the same chamber?. This is my first tank with a sump as all of my earlier ones have been AIOs.
Thanks

I have my temp sensor down flow from the heater closer to the return chamber. My thoughts is to have the temp reading closest to entering the DT. In all honesty though with proper flow through the sump and tank turnover rate it shouldn't really matter too much.
Enjoy your sump setup :)
