Look.at the big one in the second pic. Are u sure that is a Spirobid worm?
Those are not. Do you have nerite snails? Those look like their eggs.
Yes I do have a nerite.
Yes that's what those white specs are then. The little spirals are spirorbid worms like I said before.

Yes. Nerite snails probably won't hatch but if they do, that's fine. Spirorbid worms are almost like "mini" feather dusters. The only downside ( which you're experiencing), is that they can grow to out of control numbers and sometimes cause things like pumps or powerheads to stop working. Other than that they filter your tank.
These worms feed on algae and are fairly easy to scrape off with edge of an old credit card or similar. They end up in plumbing and sumps alsoI have these hard white specs in my tank. They are all over my pumps, powerheads, rock, and tank walls except the glass. I can scrape them off but they seem like salt deposits or something. I have had these for as long as I can remember, but I am a noob to tanking and this forum so thought I would ask. See pics.
