I'm psyched you have hippopus clams right now, but the last clam I got from you in Jan (a derasa) had shell growth patterns that looked like it had been on its side in the tank for an extended period of time or before getting to you guys. It didn't last 2 weeks in my tank and expired with symptoms of starvation. In clams, that's a long downhill slope, so it might have been in bad shape long before I got it from being on its side ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Here's my tank, should have done well:

Would be ideal to be able to see the shell before purchase to see if the particular specimen is in good shape.

No shell growth:

Anyway, I'd love to get your clams, but it's risky without being able to see its health ahead of time.

Good news is all my ASD corals are rocking!
