How do we feel about using the same Hanna salinity checker for both water destined for your reef, as well as QT water with copper in it? Am I overthinking it?

I find myself with a few gallons of QT water dialing in salinity and copper levels, so new batches have some residual copper in it. Am I being paranoid thinking this is an issue? I always clean the checker in RO after use and let it dry completely before capping it and putting it away.

All quarantine tools should be separate from and never used in any other systems. The Hanna salinity checker has it's own issues and should be checked against with another tool for accuracy.
