it is going through splitting stage…… but literally as I’m watching it it’s turning black and occasionally excreting brown stuff….. should I pull it out?

I would suspect Brown Jelly Disease before splitting. I haven’t heard of them excreting black mucus while splitting.

Like brown mucus not a lot though but it is turning black
They also excrete brown when pooping, or when excreting zooxanthellae. It could be either of these as well if it’s coming from the polyp directly

I don't have any pictures of BJD. However, a lot of the times people confuse poop with bjd.

If it looks like the pictures in this thread, its poop.

That's a good shot of the under tissue which is not as thick as it should be, but also doesn't look too have receded much recently based on algea growth. I'm not convinced it's bjd, but something is going on if it's turning black.

Active splitting can leave it not extended for a few days at a time but they will soon fill back in.

Is that clown loving up on it by any chance? Clowns can literally pester euphyllia to death.

Nothing really touch’s it at all, think it looks like waste it excreted….. would people advise to keep it in and see how it progressed over next hour or so ?
Definitely leave it and just keep a close eye on it! If you have a QT, and it looks like things are starting to go bad, it might not be a bad idea to transfer it over, then.
