I just hit the ones in the 180 that I could find with aptasia-x while doing a water change. I'm sure it probably won't kill them but at least it might keep them under control until I can deal with it the natural way [emoji12] that 29 that I have of my grandsons though no amount of aiptasia X in the world is going to deal with that tank! So that's where the nudi's are going to go when I get them first. Then I'll collect a couple for the seahorse tank being that there is only one or two in it. And then I'll put what I can find after that 29 is eradicated into the 180. With any luck I'll have babies and all of the tanks to keep things in line.

Fantastic results Freddie!!!
How many 1/2" did you get again?
Jackie,
Thank You!!!!!

Lisa told me about 15 should do the job but... (lol) I bought 25. :D
I would not buy the 1/4". I'd get the 1/2" or bigger. The 1/2" can deal with a higher flow reefer.
You can place them near the aiptasia but not in the aiptasia.

Kinda like the mongoose and the cobra.

The Nudi's come in from behind and start at the stem. You will see the aiptasia start to sink down and the disk it eaten last.

Freddie

Wow, 25!!! Lol no wonder they died off so quickly [emoji12] [emoji23] [emoji122] lol, and I was thinking of starting off with six in the 29g haha...
Jackie,
If you can buy 6 - 10 and they start to breed, then you will get there.
I did try Aiptasia-X before I bought the Nudi's and you can see the paled out colored coralline on the live rock around the duncans.
They just came back but the bottle of my Aiptasia-X is very old and it's right on border line of the printed expiration date.

I wanted to go big with 25 so I could say I went "all in" and we could see how they do or don't do on this thread.

Did you get a special rate for so many? That's A LOT of $$$ if not.
They do have bundle packaging for bigger lots and I pulled the trigger on the 25 - 1/2" package.

After sales tax and all I payed about $320.

Yes I understand that :D it just surprised me how many. But that got rid of them very quickly! I just think for the 29 even though it's loaded they will all eventually get taken care of without the nudi's dying off.

I just wanted to go big to let us see how they do.
If I bought the 25 lot and nothing happened then it would have been a bummer. :(

My family has a budget just like yours and I would have been truly let down that I flushed $300 down the drain if they did not pan out. But I did use them in 2012 and I had faith.

That isn't too bad considering what they charge for five or six. :D

That's what I get to spend every month on anything Reef related. About $200-$300. So soon as I'm done changing all my lights out and everything else I need I may pull the plug and get some :)

Well,
Thanks to @MrMichael reminding me off them.
We all got to see this one method and also was able to find a great vendor too.

I see it as if my reef was suffering but we got to watch a science project too. :)

What is GoVols Kessil a80/t5 hybird photo period.

Been getting a few call outs on this... so, why not just post it??? :)

So, Here we go.

9:30am Kessel's start to ramp up and at 11:00am they hit 50% color at 100% intensity.
11:00am t5's come on with the Kessil's and turn off at 7:00 pm
7:00pm Kessil's start to ramp down and turn off at 8:30 pm.

So, That's an 8 hour full daylight photo period.

Regards, GoVols

GoVols: - 2 poster of the day

We do have one aiptasia left.

Well just in case nobodies else has noticed it has stripes and the others did not but Salty Underground shows that the nudi's eat both on their website.
Going to stay patient and saw another small nudi at about 11pm last night. (turned on t5's to catch these shots)

Well,
Saturday evening I noticed something on the lid of the "Blue Bucket".
Heard it was coming and it's called "My Batch"

So I go to Red Sea's "My Batch" site and type in the batch # with my email and got the batch report asap.

I did re-test  the alk and it came to about 7.7 dkh. (Gotta get the Hanna alk checker)

Well if you take in account that I mix to 1.025 and they test at 35.5 then to myself, it's pretty darn close.

So, Here's the lid and report that came back to my email.
