I have a max flow canister filter..It has 1 inch intake a return hoses pumping up to 820 gal a hour on a 75 gal tank..Now my goofy question....has anyone every split a return hose that size and run two 1/2 inch hoses..? If so did I hurt the filter motor?

I believe it would slow down the flow/gph drastically

By little brain it may slow down some but it increase pressures at the tips..ineen thought about splitting totwo 3/4 inch lines but I think that would greatly reduce pressure...plus I rarely run it at full power anyway
