You would be limited to one of the expensive upgrade kits or to a strip/bar light like the AI blade, reef bright, etc. assuming you c an get them to fit. The reason being that they can be mounted super close to the water and not cause insane hotspot issues.

So I looked at the AI blade and would I be able to mount that in my lid?

I just ordered a 24” pair of these bars for a future small frag tank build. They seem pretty powerful for the price, and there are options to add a controller and unified power supply for 2 bars. Would be worth exploring doing a DIY retrofit if you’re willing to get handy.

Orphek OR3s and AI Blades are similar options if you want something more industry proven.

Otherwise, Steve’s LEDs makes a retrofit specifically for biocubes.
