Is this a good asterina or bad one?
Kinda funny, can't recall seeing a star with that few legs

I see asterina all the time with just a few legs. If they don’t have color on their backs generally from my experience they are ok. The ones with the colored backs (red, camo, brown) are the devil and eat coral. I’ve been killing them slowly every time I find one. The white ones from what I’ve seen and the ones at my LFS are ok.

I don't trust any asterinas especially after having a colony of BamBam zoa nearly wiped out and was larger than a penny in size.
The reason for broken legs is that they break of a leg and grow it back. The broken leg becomes a new star. These things can multiply like mice.

I second this. I kill mine every time I see them. They destroyed my eagle eye zoa. I added 5 form my dads tank before I knew they were bad. My wrasse would bite them in half then all of a sudden I had hundreds.
