Oh yes, there was a big thing about it a few years ago. Fishermen were catching sharks, cutting off the fins, and then dumping them back into the water to die. Very sad my soup (to my knowledge) was not made this way.I didn't even know they made soup out of shark fins lol. It does taste like chicken, just more tender.

Most of the time its poachers cutting the fins, Not sure on keeping a shark if you catch one. seasons and game lawsI say if you are going to hunt then at least don't waste anything
