I will agree to that and also the reason I keep them in my SPS dominant tank. They seem to really like some flow.Medium to medium high random flow is must for Goniopora. any detritus buildup is bad for the tissue.

My male would use my Goni when the female got bossy. Never really bothered the Goni much. At first it would shrink but it didn’t take long for it to bounce back. Sometimes he would get rough and it would shrink a little. My clownfish are pretty rough with my goni. Have any of you who's clowns are using them for a nem substitute having any problems with them threatening your goni's health?
Wow that is nice hemmdog! I must find a small chunk
If I ever find a way to frag it off the rock it’s on; I’d gladly send you a frag!Wow that is nice hemmdog! I must find a small chunk

New member here! :yo: I didn't see a show-off thread for goniopora, but hopefully there are enough of us succeeding with flower pot corals to warrant one, because I would LOVE to see more of these! Here's mine:
Made this close-up pic my screen saver.
It's a bit pinker than it looks in person; I'd say the true color is halfway between the pink in close-up shots and the red you see in my FTS:
I don't know which species I have, but it's defied the difficult label these carry, since I do nothing special for it. I have low to medium flow in my tank and broadcast feed once or twice a week. I see it catch food each time, but I don't make any effort to target feed.
I bought it as a tiny frag in a local shop about a year and a half ago:
One of my best coral purchases to date! Anyone else have one doing well?
