Hello, I recently got this Goniopora, it is starting to get a brown jelly like film over it, its not very thick, I have tried coral dip, removing the film manually and it grows back within a day, I have tried high flow areas, low flow, high light, low light, nothing seems to be happening, a day prior to the brown jelly algae like substance growing on it the coral closed all the way up, it still isn't coming out, all other corals are healthy and doing fine, unsure of what to do.

Probably not enough information in here to adequately diagnose what is going on. What are your tank parameters, how old is the tank, etc. Brown Jelly sounds like one of two things to me, brown jelly disease (which is usually related to euphyllia) or dinos. Does the jelly have little bubbles in it and do you see the jelly on other things? If not, doesnt appear to be dinos..but really shooting in the dark here.

I have tried Gonis in the past and I have not been successful. Very finicky in my books.
