Going to make a substantial purchase - who is your favorite supplier

Getting ready to kick off a new build and will be purchasing all of the equipment I feel is needed.
Given MAP pricing it comes down to reliability and customer service. Share your positive experiences.
My desire is to not flame vendors.

I'm in a different country, but for a 'substantial purchase' I usually base my decision on who offers the best reward points/program.

I also prefer saltwateraquarium, they're close by geographically so everything ends up being overnight shipping but besides that their rewards program is decent, what others have said about free stuff is valid, and Ive never not had an order not ship within one day. I can't tell you about their customer service because Ive never had to use it.

BRS. SWA has never done me right. Their shipping is so slow. Meanwhile BRS had a Trident NP at my door in about 30 hours. Can't beat that.

Saltwater aquarium has the best customer service and will make things right.

I would say your LFS so you can help them out if possible. I know my LFS don’t really have lots of dry goods so rely online .

I don’t recall where they ship from but I use the free or cheapest sh and my orders from swa arrive in 2-3 days

For free, they have given me acrylic frag stands, Christmas ornaments, an acclimation kit, food samples, a mug, stickers etc

I mostly use saltwater aquarium, although I have had one bad experience with them that they refused to fix until I disputed the charges with PayPal. I have had many other successful orders from them though, and have continued to use them after my one bad experience (I really like the free items).

I’ve never had an issue with BRS although it’s not my first choice because I prefer to support smaller companies when reasonable to do so.

I’ve also ordered from Aquacave several times and had an issue with an item being damaged in shipping that they quickly made right without any hassle.

Premium Aquatics. Price any large purchase on their site vs the others to compare. They also have a substantial first time customer discount.

If they have what I want, Amazon. With their credit card, you receive 5% back. I have purchased from Premium Aquatics and Saltwater Aquarium through them. Any issues, they make returns easy. I like Premium Aquatics for the speed in shipping. I use BRS for some items, but the shipping speed always seem to take 7 days.
