I have a 55 gallon up for about 6 months now. It was upgraded from a 15 gal to a 29 gal to this, so the water and rocks are older (if that matters). No particular problems with anything.

I'd like to add some more fish and wondered about ideas. I really want a tailspot blenny, green/yellow/black or panda gobies (not sure which one) and 2 pink skunk clowns. I have 1 green ricordea (florida) but that's it for coral. Wouldn't mind a few more easier corals but nothing in particular.

Current stock:
1 cleaner shrimp
2 emerald crabs
hermits
1 male melanarus wrasse
1 aiptasia eating filefish
4 green chromis
1 pink spotted watchman goby

Peaceful tank, all get along.

Any thoughts for me?

Thanks :)

Can never go wrong with a royal gramma. A captive bred orchid pseudochromis can add good movement.

Yellow corris wrasse (bonus, helps with bad critters) but make sure you have sand and a tight fitting lid - mine jumped out through a gap I had over the overflow and so far is the only fish I’ve lost since I got back into it 2 years ago

If you have a tight fitting lid (1/4” mesh or something like that) then you could go with a tilefish, they add so much personality and come in a range of colours!! You could also go with another wrasse, Leopards and Halichoeres need sand beds for sleeping in whereas Cirrhilabrus and flashers don’t.

No cirrhilabrus can fit a 29 and idk about any flashers either. Tilefish is a good suggestion. Midas blenny have great movement along with personality. Leopards are hard to maintain in a 29g and he already has a melanarus so I’d say the wrasse department is capped. Personally would pass on the skunk clowns in a tank already so stocked.

I thought the tank size was a 55g?
In a 55g you could get more than just a Mel in terms of wrasse, Tilefish also need to be in a 55g. Leopards are not hard to maintain in any tank if you get the right one (I have a 1” blue star in my 20g tank temporarily with 2 other wrasses).
But also if you look at my nano, what you said about the Cirrhilabrus is false. I agree long term none can fit however what I have in my nano temporarily is going against what your saying.

lol I had never heard of a tilefish so I googled and this came up:

I thought you guys were crazy for a minute. Then I figured out they're also known as dartfish. Too funny.

It's a 55 gal. I think I have a little more room for things but wanted to ask the experts here first. Midas blenny is on my short list also but thought maybe it would be better to go smaller with a tailspot. I've also always wanted clown gobies, but I love my pink spotted watchman and don't want them fighting.

Haha, tilefish and dart fish aren’t the same thing (The tilefish I mean are in the genus Hoplolatilus). Definitely don’t mean that beast!! I currently own Hoplolatilus chlupatyi (I don’t think they’re in season anymore and I think I got the last one of this season).

I have my yasha goby and a black clown goby in a 20g tank and no problems!! I find most of the clown gobies and shrimp gobies get along quite well since they’re basically polar opposites.
