Hello,

I just wanted to get some feedback on what type of glue everybody is using.

I have used the Loctite super glue gel for some time now and I really like it. Average cost is 2.30 - 2.60 with .14 oz.

The bottle holds well in your hand. The glue is nice and thick so it doesn't spread out like the non gel types. The tip actually doesn't clog often and can be easily unclogged by just pulling the dry cyanoacrylate off.

The downfalls: Sometimes you don't know if you have used the all of the glue or if it is out. This is because the glue comes out by pushing on the sides. I got around this issuge by using some pliers to squeeze on the sides. I think I may have thrown out 30% full bottles when I first started using it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Recently at home depot I found another glue that may be a cheaper alternative. It is called " The original Super Glue" and it was $1.60 for .14 oz (mine only came with 2, I feel ripped off!).

Now I haven't had a chance to use this yet, but I've heard good things about this brand on other forums. I don't mind the cheaper package if it has the same thick glue that the Loctite company sells. I'll keep everyone updated on how well this one works.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So what glue do you use? If you use something else then let us know.

I used to use the Duro brand, but my local Lowes has quit carrying it. I have switched to the Loctite bottle and like it just as well. Gotta have some channel locks to get it all out, though. My fingers start to get sore if I frag too much (like a few weeks before swaps, etc.). I'm a big sissy...

Walmart carries the Duro Gel. That's where I get mine from.

I use the ic-gel 20g tubes, I can get about 50-70 frag plugs from each tube :)

Where do you get it from? If you don't mind.

I get it from http://www.bsiadhesives.com/Pages/hobby/ca.html
you have to order a lot to get it from them, but I also have single tubes on my site. what people sometimes do is put together group buys with their through bsiadhesives.com and get good pricing like that, after shipping it comes out to about $6 a tube depending on where you are
I just like that it's a toothpaste tube of glue, I used to use the smaller ones and spent a fortune on them

I like that idea. I'd be in for it...
