So I have a bunch of very light surface scratches on a glass tank. I've been looking around and it seems that a cerium oxide and water mixture is the best option for removing the scratches. However I tried it and since the scratches are on a vertical surface, it did not work too well, the cerium oxide mixture was very liquidy and it just slide down, basically useless.
I have actually had luck with toothpaste in the past however this is also on the inside, so I'm not sure if toothpaste is safe for fish. Like the residual stuff. The tank is (obviously) empty so I will have the chance to rinse it off as best as I can. But still.
Are there any other "safe" compounds that I should try? for removing the scratches?
Suggestions appreciated, thanks!
