My tank has 3 zoas 1 kenya. Today I am picking up a green cap monti and jack o lantern sytlo. His water is alk 12, nitrate 40 and phosphate 2.5. I am at alk 8.9/9 , phosphate around .18 and I havent tested nitrste in a while but its been around 15-25 range. Whats the best way to aclimate new corals to my water with lower nutrients?

Do you have a frag tank or they are going into the display? If frag id slowly bump the alk on the frag tank closer to what he runs its at. Wouldn’t worry about the phos or no3 they won’t be stoked but shouldn’t kill them outright like big alk swings can.. try to get your alk up towards his then Let it naturally fall back down to 8.5-9 where you like yours.

Acclimate well equalizing the ph and salinity and alk with that of your display tank

LOL, are you kidding, water is always different, I wait for the UPS guy with a bottle of poison in my hands, and weapons of mass destruction, water being different is the least of my corals problems
