Hello,

My wife and I had a 75 gallon salt water tank with a 20 gallon sump about 10 years ago.

We are seriously looking at getting back into things.

Would like to setup something that isn’t a huge amount of maintenance.

She would like a custom tank with a nice stand and canopy, so looking at Glass Box. I’ve talked with them, very helpful, and seem to have good reviews.

If I go that route (probably about 150 - 175 gallon). I will need to figure out all of the pumps, filtration, plumbing monitoring, lighting, etc. Can you help me with what I will need, brands to look at (or stay away from, etc.). Sure I will have a ton of other questions, but before I order the tank I’d like to at least have a rough idea what I’m going to do for the rest of the equipment.

Thanks,

-Dan

Welcome to R2R!
Check out this thread. All kinds of great info here
As far as brands, everyone has their opinion, best bet read reviews and make an educated decision from there

If low maintenance is key, then stick with low-light softies and few fish and low feeding. This will allow you to operate with no skimmer, few waterchanges, and less glass cleaning.
