GEO Cryptic Biological Reactor (CBR), loaded with MarinePure ceramic media balls. For those that don't know, a cryptic reactor is used for high-capacity nitrifying filtration. Water passes around and through the media, allowing the beneficial nitrifying bacteria that has colonized the media to reduce toxic ammonia and nitrites to near zero. It also reduces phosphates significantly and dissolved organics. The vinyl wrap keeps the media in total darkness to prevent algae and encourage fauna that thrives in the dark spaces in the natural reef.

Also, do you have the other half of the unions? I see one is a schedule 80 and the other is a 40. The 40 shouldn’t be an issue, but there are different threads floating on the market with 80’s, due to the pandemic bs. You can tell by the pattern on the grip that you turn, there unique differences.

I do have the other half of the top one. The bottom I do not, but that pipe is not glued into the body like the top one. It is just a pipe through a rubber bushing into the body so easily replaced with off-the-shelf parts from Home Depot or wherever.

UNISEAL! That is what I was thinking of, but couldn't remember the name of. The lower pipe goes through a Uniseal.

Perfect. One last question, is the top and bottom white or grey?

If you're asking about the unions, the top one is white and the bottom is gray.

The actually top and bottom of the reactor is white.
