I actually did bid in an auction for another vendor while I was playing games. However, I figured it doesn't look kosher considering that someone might think I had special access or anything like that. I figured if I want to buy something then I should do it outside of live sales or auctions, which is the route I take, if I'm on the market for something. Keeps everything above the table and clear cut for everyone involved.
