Excuse my ignorance as this is my first sw tank and i was trying to blow that white part off because its like a tissue. Its like peeling off anyway now. I dont know if i killed it. But this coral was doing really great no issues. I wasnt sure if that white stuff was receeding or not. That is healthy tissue and is supposed to be there. Ideally, it should extend even farther down the stem... If it shows further recession, there's something slowly killing the coral.
If it's peeling off, that is not good!Excuse my ignorance as this is my first sw tank and i was trying to blow that white part off because its like a tissue. Its like peeling off anyway now. I blew it off and its gone it was a small tiny piece. Why im getting poriferan sponge? Its poriferan sponge growth and simply place frag in a container of tank water and scrape off with a paring knife. If left there will eventually overtake the frag
So is that a bad thing or not? Also thats how the frogspawn look from the other side all white normal? All sponges are poriferans... They are members of the phylum Porifera
