I have a fairly large piece of FS and just noticed it looks like the skeleton is visible and or the head is splitting...any ideas? My tank has been up and running since January, parameters seem good, temp is 78-80.

New to salt and am still very much in the learning phase.

Looks better today. How’s the flow? Tentacles should lightly sway in the current.

How long have you had the FS in your tank and has it fully opened at all?

What are your other parameters? Alk, Calcium, Salinity, phosphates and nitrate?

I have a similar FS. Mine Went from big and fluffy to exactly what you show. I had bottomed out my nutrients and my Alk was very low. I’ve since increased All my levels and finally after almost a month the FS is starting to extend again.

I also had/have a little bit of Dino’s. Looks like I’m finally getting ahead of that which may be improving the FS appearance as well.
