Last resort for my clownfish was a freshwater dip after the medication I was using did nothing. Did a freshwater dip for a little over 5 minutes because he was swimming around so much I couldn’t catch him. Seemed like he was doing great, barely had to physically move him and make him swim. Saw some white spots pop off but not all. Should I do another dip tomorrow or when? Hoping he makes it through the night!

White spots falling off describes flukes falling off although with brooklynella has similar behavior
After freshwater dip, you want to start daily formalin baths for about a week
General cure is effective. Ruby rally pro also good

Try to post a picture under white light and give us full background on the fish and tank, that helps point us in the right direction.

Tank is around 4-5 months old now. Fish has been in for about month and came in with no problems. Started developing what looked like ich about a week ago. Treated with Ich X and seemed to be going away. Yesterday I started to notice that white slime coat around his tail and gave him an immediate FW dip to alleviate the stress. Surprisingly made it through the night and just gave him another dip because it still looked really bad. Don’t have a QT setup at the moment so there’s not much I can do here.. Just trying to keep the little fella alive.

I should note that I have had an issue with brook in the past and went completely fallow for 6-8 weeks before adding a diamond goby and the clown about 2 weeks later.

FW dips are really just a diagnostic tool and a way to buy a little time with fluke infestations, I wouldn’t give the fish any more of those right now.
Given the history and picture, I can’t rule out brooklynella.
Is the fish still eating? What other animals are in with it?

Unfortunately he passed.. He was a fighter but eventually succumbed to whatever the disease was. Thank you for trying to help!

Hoping too! He’s at my cleaner shrimps station all day everyday to get a good cleaning!
Ah! Frequent posturing for cleaner shrimp can be a symptom of parasites!
