I've had the manadrin in a QT tank and just placed him into my DT lastnight (92G)... Just found him halfway in the sand anenome and I managed to get him out. He was still very lively and quickly swam away... I removed the sand anenome and will be putting him in another tank.

The Mandarin seems lively, but startled... My concern is the section right before my tail and his actual tail is'nt moving and his tail is just stiffed out and closed... Will he recover from this? Seems this is disabling him from swimming.

I'm sure one of the #fishmedic crew would be able to tell you what's wrong with your mandarin - but as was mentioned in your other thread, you may need to provide more information for them to work with.

Hopefully this is unrelated to the problem you're having with your Anthias.

Welcome to Reef2Reef!

The core issue here is; did the mandarin just accidentally wander into the anemone and got stung, or did it have some issue that made it weak and allow it to get stung? If the former, there is no "treatment" other than time to see if it recovers. If the latter, you need to try and determine what this original issue was.

Was it eating well prior to the move? Is it eating now?
