For you nano reefers using AFR, how much nitrate are you dosing per day to maintain levels?

Coral heavy nanos already struggle with nutrients, and all for reef acts both as an organic carbon source, and uses nitrate as part of the calcium formate conversion. How many ppm are you dosing daily to keep No3 detectable?

In my Nano (24Gal), I dose 15ml of afr within 9hr windows from 6am to 3pm. Then my kalk turns on from 3pm to 6am dosing (667ml). Since it is set to add 1liter per day /two third.
This is for stabilizing the pH averaging 8.25.

I use to dose Liquid nitrate and phosphate but I don’t need to anymore. But when I did. At the higest dosing was 5ml of neonatro and 1ml neophos. Both are still connected to my doser for easy access atm. I dose 1ml of phosphate time to time if it test below 0.02 on Hanna. I did dose regularly for whole year. And still having to dose phosphate time to time but not nitrate. I feed heavy frozen food.

Kh=afr calcium Calc=acropower

Why do you say coral heavy nanos struggle with nutrients? I've been running nano reef tanks for quite a while now (and dosing AFR), and I've never really struggled with nutrients other than when setting up a new tank. In the initial stages of setting up a tank, I've dosed NeoPhos and NeoNitro when needed until the tank hits its stride. Other than that, adjusting feeding and frequency of water changes has been all I've had to do.

be very careful dosing no3, I had a brs dosing pump malfunction and overdosed my no3 solution and killer 1500 in acro.

I keep a 12"x6"x6" tank,I have to dose 2.5ml of nitrates and phosphates every other day to keep my stuff at 2-5ppm and .03ish. I feed heavy a few times of week and hardly do water changes and if I don't stay on top of nutrients they will bottom out.

I have only acan's and zoa's,I gues my live rock is worth something lol.

I use 38 ml daily in 24 doses in a 20 gallon.

I feed one cube a day.

I don't dose nitrates any longer. I dose ammonia as needed to maintain 8-12ppm nitrates. Maybe once a month I have to do a couple doses particularly after a water change
are you dosing any amino's?

I’m dosing 5ml AFR daily in my 32 gallon. My phosphate runs around .2 and my nitrates between 10 and 20. I feed fish twice daily and corals twice weekly.
