I'm trying to do a freshwater dip for my new fish that I think has flukes. Was wondering if you can see the flukes coming off the fish or if it's transparent?
Welcome to Reef2Reef!

Only one group of flukes, Neobenedenia can be seen in dips without a microscope. In others, you can infer flukes if the fish get better after a few days. Remember that dips won’t permenantly cure flukes though. Do you need info about how to do a dip safely?

Welcome :) I believe you can sometimes see them at the bottom of the bucket/container after a fw dip. @Jay Hemdal would be the best source of info :) Best of luck

Welcome! Glad you joined. Jay is THE MAN when it comes to these types of things, so in all diseases and fish health issues I defer to Jay.

This is a great reference book type article I still refer:
