I need some feedback

I have a 127G Elos tank. Not set up. Getting close to putting water in it

I have 2 MP40s already for it

And was going to get 2 Maxspect Jump 4K gyres for flow

The tank is going to be primary SPS(acros), with some LPS(leptos, Raja Rampage, etc) and Zoas on the bottom for contrast(not main focus)

I am second thinking the gyres, and putting that toward an MP40 across the front. Almost the same price

Will that be enough flow for a year or 2

Or should I consider 4 total MP40s for flow(I'm thinking overkill). Essentially gyre'ing the tank

Or the 2 MP40s I have facing forward from the back and an MP60 across the front

Approx 48" across
20" deep
32" front to back

Any constructive criticism?

I love my gyres. The flow throughout the tank with 2 of them in my 120g is pretty amazing. I use 1 mp40 at like 30% on the back wall just to take care of a detritus trap between my 2 islands, and a couple small jebaos for other problem areas, but if it weren’t for my scape the gyres would be almost enough alone.

I’d say 2 mp40s and 2 gyres is almost overkill. Maybe 1 gyre with the 2 mp40s would be about perfect. 3 mp40s would probably do the job also, but I really think you will like the unique flow pattern provided by the gyre.

Here is my system so you can see the placement. For reference mine is 48” across, 24” deep, 24” tall.

Did you mean to make this a “spoiler”? I was very confused because your post looks like this to me. When I replied, it showed the text with html spoiler brackets.

Yes, Ecotech is never on sale. And they currently still have MP pumps in stock. Wanted to keep it that way until I decide

Well

I got 2 MP40s, gives me more options than a single MP60

The extra 10% when you sign up for texts, counts even to the Ecotech sale items

34% discount for me.
