If I'm making mistakes, let me know. I am new to hobby. I am installing my ro/di and at first I was planning to put the rodi system in the cabinet underneath my tank because that is optimal for me since the water that comes in to my rodi comes from my hose outside since it doesn't fit any of my other faucets or anything. And from there it would either go in a bucket or for my first fill up I am thinking directly into the tank and then adding salt. Buckets after for water changes though. I was wondering if there would be enough flow for the filtered water coming out to reach the top of the tank since the ro/di is in the cabinet underneath. Let me know what you guys think.

How large is the tank? Mixing in buckets even just for water changes can be challenging with no auto shut off device. You stand and watch or hope you remember to turn it off or you have a flood. I would put a shut off valve on the out put tubing and a float valve on the fill container. Then you can just disconnect the tube and move the container where ever it's needed. Doesn't have to be as large as a brute. I've been down the road trying to use containers with no shut off when full and I had too many floods.

EDIT : My rodi is in the basement and pushes water up to the kitchen sink on the first floor
