Every euphyllia I get does this. I look at the shop euphyllias, nice one inch flesh band, extremely healthy, and I buy it. In the first 2 weeks, everything is fine. The coral is fully inflated. but during the first month, the flesh band starts receding more and more. Then I can see at most a centimeter of the flesh band. The corals aren't dying or anything but I am just wondering, why does that happen.

While I believe it is a sign of overall health I am not positive what causes flesh band recession. I assume it’s flesh and is larger in torch that are doing well and growing.

I would maintain calcium, alkalinity, and target feed 3x a week
