I just purchased a fish trap From marinedepot . Anyone have any tips or suggestions as it should arrive today.
My game plan was to do this
Setup the trap in the tank without it being set and have it open so they could get used to it for a couple days.
Then feed in the trap for the next several feedings with the trap in the same condition.

After that set and trap and wait.
Anyone got any tips for me ?
Trap is going in 60 cube

That technique does work well. But what fish are you catching? I had a whitetail bristletooth turn aggressive & I had to lure him into a fish trap using a different lure (instead of food).

Food should work fine then.:)
I was asking because my tang just picked on rocks, food didn't lure him into trap. For super aggressive fish I have set trap against tank wall, then taped mirror to outside of tank (faces end of fish trap). Aggressive fish usually races in trap to attack reflection.

Not 5 mins in the water so I tried it and it went in solo. Trapped no waiting!
