My purple fire fish disappeared a few months back so I ended up buying a yellow watchman to replace it for my pistol shrimp. Fast forward to today and I haven’t seen my ymg or either of my cleaner shrimp in a couple weeks. Any ideas on what could’ve happened to them?

They likely just died a normal death and the bacteria took care of the bodies in quick order.

You will likely get some speculation of nasty predators, but this is not very likely and nearly impossible unless you got a pile of live rock in water from the ocean.

Fish die. It just happens. Some fish only have a lifespan of a few years and we have no idea how old they are when we get them. Shrimp are sensitive to higher nitrate levels that can shorten lifespan but also only live a few years.
