Fire fish injury

Can someone shed some light on this please….. come home from work to fish fish injured, what’s best thing to do? Is it fatal?

Looks like something sticking out of fish body….

Looks to be a small ulcer - Or maybe a scrape from darting into the rockwork, doesn’t seem to be fatal and a few doses of melafix should fix it up.

Do I have to pull the fish out to use it?
If it’s a reef tank with SPS then yes, if there is no SPS then no, however after use it will be Atleast 3 water changes before harder SPS (Not montis) are able to go back in.

Appears to be post injury and most fish have the ability to heal and quickly in saltwater. Keep an eye on it
