Finding a place for the elements: Where do you put your dosing equipment?

Dosers and dosing containers are common to reef keeping. Although not a requirement or a necessity, many reefers have found that dosing can be helpful to the success of the ecosystem in their tanks. A challenge for some is where to put it. Some have found ways to mount dosers near or under the tank and others find various places to set it. Similarly, the containers may be specialized containers that are neatly organized, and others use more generic containers that are placed near the tank. Where do you put your dosing equipment? Let us know your experience and feel free to share any related tips!

2 answers for me

Doser is sitting on top of my ATO reservoir and my ALK, CA, and Vinegar container (MarineColor 3 container system) sits on the "floor" of my aquarium cabinet

I have 2 dosers. Both mounted to the inside of my cabinet and dose into my sump. The AFR and the NOPOX containers are on the cabinet floor just below the dosers next to the sump.

Mounted dosers inside of cabinet

Output goes to return chamber, where I have a small Nero 3 mounted to mix up everything as soon as it enters.

Without doing this I was having major issues with 'alk snow' which wasn't dissolving.

Nero 3 is very expensive for this purpose but it works extremely well

I don't recommend a small AC Sicce nano for this purpose becasue they're noisy as hell.

Mounted inside the cabinet on a sliding panel.
Versa on the panel and dosing container on a little amazon shelf ($12).

I just got a cabinet from them as well. How did you secure the dose? Seems awfully loose in there.
I bought a 1" wide 3' velcro strip, put a few small command strips on the top of the DOS then took the longer 3' velcro strap and wrapped it around the DOS and the baseplate for it to secure it in-place.

I did this with the unit unplugged and the shelf removed. I also had to make a few small holes for the DDR and 1LINK cables in the velcro strip.

I put mine in the garage which is adjacent to the room where the DT resides.
I only dose 2 part and then have the second DOS unit for auto water changes.
The lines run through the wall to the DT.

I placed in the garage because I can't stand to listen to them and it gives me a completely clean and uncluttered look with no equipment or buckets of solution near the DT.
Given the proximity to the garage, all of that was an option.

Dosing containers (2 part + mg) on the floor of the stand, pumps mounted above that, beside the sump so should a leak happen, it won't be going in my tank.

I mounted the doser on the dosing containers using strong velcro.
The kalkwasser line is now running rodi to my kalkstirrer instead of directly dosing kalkwasser. The dosing heads could not handle the limewater...

Dosing containers under the stand between the sump and top off reservoir. BRS dosing pumps controlled by Apex mounted under the stand above the containers.

My dosers are on a shelf, with dosing hoses dangling over the sump that sits on the floor, Most go into the return section so as to make sure anything that is dosed is mixed pretty rapidly.
