Hey everyone, super excited, I stopped by my local shop on Friday evening on the way to pick my son up from karate to look around. I asked about a few corals and then saw a yellow mimic tang in one of the fish only tanks. I asked about the price and Will, the owner said “ Oh, I also have a Hawaiian yellow tang in the frag tank Btw”. I asked how much, and the rest is history. Came by to pick it up the following afternoon. my purple tang basically ignored the new tank mate, saw a little aggression from my powder blue, but after adding a mirror they’re all fine. Sorry about the photo quality my blues were very high when taken. Overall I couldn’t be happier, my wife was thrilled as well

Good for you. Almost looks like the coloring of one of those koi Scopus. How about a pic in whiter light?
+1 to this, is it definitely a solid yellow tang or a potential mistaken koi tang?

The eye also looks more like a yellow scopas than it does a true yellow. The fins don’t look abnormally large for a yellow so it could possibly be a true yellow.
