With researching different larger aquariums
We can assume they don’t use water changes to maintain their public exhibits .
but they use rather complex filtration systems to maintain pristine water quality

are such systems available for our typical home aquariums ?
Other than rodi is there a filtration system we could employ

I use ozone in my system (no water changes).
For most of the public aquariums they also use ozone. But besides that I’m curious if we can filter the water within the system ?

if it were freshwater it would be a lot easier .

Many of the filtration options like UV, ozone, biomedia, skimmers, have scaled down hobby versions.

I used to see lots of various small scale aquaculture filtration equipment at Pentair Aquatic Ecosystems. I haven't seen a small sock canister filter, but did work with a waist high unit with four bags that prefiltered water prior to UV.
