I personally use filter floss because it's cheaper than buying new filter socks and maintaining them but I was wondering what Reefers would think.

This reefer would choose option “3”. Neither!!! I get it, they serve a purpose but in order to be most affective, socks need changed out every 3 days. (BRS investigates) Without either, my tank still sparkles. Granted the waste does end up in my sump. But it’s super easy to syphon it out with a hose all in under a minute. Every two to four months. Just my way. ;Shamefullyembarrased
