Can anyone let me know if these things are what have been killing my torches?

this is my 3rd torch that seems to be going down. First two died within weeks, this one is the first one I bought and has been extremely healthy for months until today I noticed the polyp on one of the heads was hanging off and skeleton is showing. Other head seems healthy for now.

Seems to be some sort of slug like creature with a mouth, and it seems to be feeding on the rock. I’ve found one of these things before under a frag plug and when I poked it I remember it changing to a gray/black color then when I finally got it unstuck to the rock and out of the water it turned almost clear.

Does it have an outer shell, or is all of it, soft like a slug?

I think so!
Yeah,
Need to look up brown jelly disease to rule that out.

After that, rule out corals that can do chemical warfare.

Sometimes a torch can just be tough, if there is a next time get a branching hammer.

How long has the system been setup? The polyps to the right are closed up, my thought it could be a combination of this beside the alien critter

I got a FIF dying torch from a fellow reefer, dipped it in H202 to clean up the algae where tissue receded and a bunch of white flatworms like that immediately appeared. So maybe?

Def brown jelly disease, but i feel like in my case brown jelly just happens when the coral is dying, and not actually the cause of death. if that makes sense? like there is a stressor leading them to die and turn to brown jelly.

So far the torch lost 1 head, the skeleton was literally a puddle of brown goo.

Siphoned the brown stuff out, and now im left with 2 healthy heads. Fingers crossed.

I'll post pics that I took on my phone in a sec.

As for chemical warfare, no leathers or anything I can think of in my tank that could be releasing toxins into the water. And no corals are ever near touching the torch obviously

For some reason, these polyps have been tough since I bought the frag.

They are Illuminati zoas, that are just not happy anywhere I place them.

I purchased another Illuminati frag from another shop and they are happy no matter where they are.

Not sure what the deal with these are, but I doubt its the Stomatella, as I've had this frag in different places, even off of the rocks and they've always looked the same.

The most they ever open up is like the open polyp in the original post pic.

Here’s the puddle of goo I woke up to this morning.

used a turkey baster and got most of it.
Some of the dead looking tentacles I tried to pull out with the turkey baster as well but they were still attached to the skeleton.

Really sad because my other Euphyllia are doing fine. Last pic, hammer and frogspawn to the left
