Looking to setup a nano tank with the Eshops deskmate I made a list of all the stuff I need I’m pretty sure I have everything but let me know what you guys think and if I’m missing anything. I’d like to add that this will be my second tank and I have about 7 months experience with my other tank.

You can! But I wouldn’t recommend it, you’d have to be very disciplined to remember to fill it up twice a day. Just spend the £60 and be done with it.

If its a budget concern, I’d recommend an ATO over the skimmer, doubt it would do much for that tank.

This tank is small dude. Like unbelievable small. I could never get the flow right in it. I like the design and orange concept. I’d like to see it done in a more sizable tank. Maybe even a whole line of sizes with the colored bottoms.

topping off daily is a chore and it varies from my experience. It almost ran dry on me multiple times.

Be very mindful when you do your scape or you won’t be able to clean the sides

I love my little deskmate! I highly recommend an ATO so you can "set it and forget it" once you get everything under control. I don't run a skimmer in mine. Regular water changes have kept nutrients in check for me, but I also don't have fish in mine. Just a few corals and inverts. I need to post an update on mine.

Can't wait to follow along!

I'd suggest a couple additions:

Deskmate Flow Kit Orange Dual 1/4" Flex Series RFG Return Line Upgrade

Prism Auto Top Off

Eshopps DeskMate Acrylic Shelf

Edit:

Two clowns might be a little aggressive for this tank unless you get super small ones and have a plan to re-home them down the road. I keep a single neon goby in mine.

Honestly I was thinking of doing a anemone only tank but I figured I’d put a pair of clowns in but yeah I thought that was much but maybe just one little guy then

I just got the DeskMate Florida. It’s a peninsula 9g. May want to look into that option. There’s also a drop off version as well now.
3qt milk jug for size comparison for you.

NICE! I think they’re onto something here. I love the fluorescent look. Especially with a bunch of psychedelic colored Zoas and a light cranked up all the way blue. Just cherry in a dark room. Nice tank
Thank you!
I’m secretly hoping for yellow in the future
